2. SARS-CoV-2 total IgG/IgM and neutralizing antibody measurement kit

SARS-CoV-2 infection usually induces an antibody response. The antibody can bind to SARS-CoV-2 spikes, and only a small part has a neutralizing function. Only neutralizing antibodies can block the effect of SARS-CoV-2 spikes and inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 virus from infecting new cells.

3. SARS-CoV-2 Spike-ACE2 binding activity and inhibition analysis kit

The process of SARS-CoV-2 entering human host cells occurs through the binding of the surface unit S1 of its spike protein to the cell receptor angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). 

ACE2 is ubiquitous and is widely expressed at different levels in the lungs, heart, kidneys, blood vessels, brain, intestines and testes. 

ACE2 also mainly binds to cell membranes and is usually less present in the circulation. It has been found that the increased expression of ACE2 in the nasal epithelium and lungs is related to the higher rate of SARS-CoV-2 infection and the severity of COVID-19, respectively. 

A new observation suggests that increased circulating ACE2 concentrations may be related to increased incidence and mortality of COVID-19.
